Llano County Master Gardener Association
MEMBERS
Being a Llano County Master Gardener is fun. We learn a lot and help our community. Monthly meetings have great presentations about gardening and nature. Each year, master gardeners must complete a minimum number of education and volunteer hours. There are nominal dues due in December for the next year.
Board Meetings are held at Llano County Extension meeting room at 9:30 am on the Tuesday before the General Membership Meeting.
General Membership Meetings are held at 5:30 pm on the third Thursday of the month at the Llano Library meeting room or the extension office meeting room. The first 45 minutes of each meeting is an educational presentation that counts toward your education hours requirement. The remainder is a business meeting. There will be food.

Report your hours directly to Texas Master Gardeners via their Volunteer Management portal. HERE
Contact Timekeeper/Hours person for your link, login, and temporary password. Once you have logged in reset the password to one of your own.
Your 2025 Minimum Hours Commitment: 20 Volunteer Hours and 10 Education Hours.
Volunteer Hours include project garden work parties or work done solo. They include activities that support our organization, outreach and events. Attending Master Gardener meetings counts. Certification course students can count volunteer hours upon completion of their background check.
Education Hours include the educational component of Master Gardener meetings, classes taken elsewhere, online classes, gardening videos or printed materials.
Background Checks are required every 3 years by the Texas Master Gardener Program.

Step 2: Receive your confirmation email with a link to follow.
Step 3: Pay $12 and take the online training.
Step 4: Complete Background Check form and submit.
Step 5: Receive your confirmation and results.

To Access Member Roster
1. Go to the Texas Master Gardener VMS system where you log your hours.
2. Hover over GENERAL INFORMATION, on the top black bar.
3. Click MEMBER ROSTER
To Access Member Email Distribution List
1. Go to the Texas Master Gardener VMS system where you log your hours.
2. Hover over GENERAL INFORMATION, on the top black bar.
3. Hover over MEMBER ROSTER.
4. Click EMAIL MEMBERS
5. On the right column, under Statuses, click Intern and Certified
6. Click the green Email by Interest or Group tab
7. Click Select All under recipients or pick and choose.
8. Scroll down and enter your subject and message. You can add attachments.
9. When ready to send, click the green + Send Email button at the bottom.
